Rev. Thomas R. Davis

COLUMBUS -- Rev. Thomas R. Davis, 39, died April 15, 1987, after an extended illness. Rev. Davis was ordained in the United Church of Christ Jan. 22,1978. He served as an associate pastor at the First Congregational Church in Medina, and following that served as pastor in the United Church of Christ in Litchfield and Chatham. The past three years he worked at the Gahanna Medical Center. He was born in Akron, and lived the last five years in Columbus.

He was raised in Tallmadge, and a groduate of Tallmadge High School. He was a graduate of Bowling Green State University, and a graduate of the Ohio Wesleyan Theological Seminary. Rev. Davis was very active in denominational work with the United Church of Christ.

He is survived by Nancy; daughter Tonya Davis of Medina; parents, Harley and Anna Davis of Tallmadge sister, Debbie Eicher of Vermilion; - brother, Ronald Davis of Tallmadge.

Services, 10 a.m. Saturday at the Hennessy, Bognoli & Redmon Funeral Home, 339 Southwest Ave., with Rev. Carolyn Mann officiating. Burial Greenlawn Cemetery.
