A. Thomas Rossiaky died Sept. 26, 2005.
Mr: Rossiaky -was born in Bitola, Macedonia March 30, 1925, to Tom and Pandora Rossiaky. The family came to the United States in 1930, settling in Columbus. Mr. Rossiaky graduated from Columbus North High School and served in the U. S: Navy during World War Two.
He graduated` from Muskingum with a bachelor's degree in education and taught and coached sports at Caprio, N.D. Lake Benton, Minn., and Tallmadge.
Mr. Rossiaky began his career in the Tallmadge Schools in 1953,. teaching social studies at what was then the junior high. In 1956, he transferred to Tallmadge High School to teach driver education and, physical education. He became athletic director in 1972.
Over the years, Mr. Rossiaky coached golf, baseball, football and basketball, with his greatest success in basketball. Mr Riossiaky's tearms won the Metro League Championship in 1966, were co-champs in 1968 and won again in 1969 and 1972. He was Summit County Coach of the Year, for 1968-69. The Tallmadge High School's football Stadium was named for in 1981. He retired from the Tailmadge City School District in 1986.
Mr. Rossiaky is survived by his wife, Mariana; son, Donovan (Rita) of Stow,. daughters, Pandora Henkel of Munroe Falls and LeeAnn (Marty) Lombardo of Hampton Falls, N. H.; brothers: Steve of Pataskala, James and Charles both of Columbus and Michael of Hoffman Estates, Ill:; grandchildren, Lindsey; Andrew, Eric, Roy, Steven, Brandon and Jarad.
